Background and Training

Andrei Givotovsky has had his own private painting conservation business for over 20 years.

He holds two BFA degrees, one from School of Visual Arts and one from Fashion Institute of Technology in Restoration Technology. He also holds an MA in Museum Studies from the Fashion Institute of Technology. In addition Andrei furthered his studies in painting restoration with classes at The Institute for Art and Restoration in Florence, Italy.

During internship at the Luca Bonetti Conservation Studio (New York City), he worked on paintings by famous artists for galleries and private collectors, as well as historic murals in public buildings and schools. While working for Evergreene Painting Studios (New York City), he worked on mural restorations in Broadway theaters and government buildings. Andrei has also worked on paintings and murals for Sherman Art Conservation (Sea Cliff, NY).

Andrei has experience testifying in court as an expert witness on painting restoration.
